Special Collections

We're all collected opened on the fourth
and it was brilliant, if I do say so myself. So many lovely people were able to come out and help me celebrate. Maybe it was the homemade peppermint patties, maybe it was the art. Alas, I'm really happy with how it went and how many people I was able to share with.

This is my banner, I spent five hours in the screen printing room layering and layering and layering, and the always wonderful, Deb Sim hand stenciled half the letters after a small mishap.

There were some cards and books for sale!

I showed with a fellow artist, Colleen Dollinger who works primarily with clay and crochet. Somehow all the work went together wonderfully, and really made for an interesting mix.

I ended up framing my book cover prints.

And my much anticipated anthology finally came together. It was nice that something I put so much time into and had never actually seen completed looked the way I envisioned. There were one hundred frames, so about 200 layers of screen printing!

So there you have it. My first major show, hopefully the first of many.
Thanks to everyone who was able to make it out.
