bizarre bizare bizarre

today feels strange.
not definitively good nor bad.
just a tad bizarre.

On that note, today's french lesson is more of a language history lesson: Bizarre can probably be traced back to the Italian bizzarro, origin unknown, which meant 'angry'. That passed into Spanish as bizarro, meaning 'brave', and then found its way into French where its meaning gradually mutated from 'brave' to 'odd' - which is where English got it from. Above is an illustration of bizarre, for the french and english, It's what happens when you bleach a photograph.
