École Militaire (Paris Métro)

École Militaire is a station on line eight of the paris metro.

it also was the meeting place of cell phone-less friends in a foreign country, my bus stop before my brief walk to class, a kind of home base of sorts, in a game of tag called living in france for a month.

Today, a few trains of thoughts led me to École Militaire, just like a few lines meet at metro stations, they intersect. I find my mind goes to Paris often, and the other day someone told me I was brave. I didn't feel brave, I felt a little overwhelmed, but it always is that way to learn, to adapt, to immerse. In a foreign land, or an un-foreign one. I've also found myself driving a lot, and it's really made me miss the metro. Most especially École Militaire, and how once it was just two vaguely familiar french words.
