better versus late

this may be a day late, and ruin some fun in the suprise,

but happy birthday to my lovely diana.

here are (some of) the reasons i'm grateful she was born.

1. she loves people for all of who they are, their most perfect parts and their most flawed.

2. if you have a boyfriend who all your friends hate, she'll still like him if you like him. (past experience, my current boyfriend rules)

3. she doesn't judge outrageous spending.

4. she finishes your arts and crafts projects you've all but given up on.

5. she'll spend hours in a coffee shop with you.

6. her family is about as good as it gets.

7. she can do backflips, seriously.

8. she'll appreciate my child-like, slightly offensive birthday card i made during a break at work.
