recently i've been thinking about home.
and how it's not a city, a house, a cute apartment. its pieces, little parts that make you comfortable, connected, warm.
as peppermint flavored drinks start to be served in coffee shops and halls are decked with holly, i think of a piece of holiday home to me, my favorite little hole in the wall in blacksburg, virginia and the christmas balls they string on the windows.
they put theirs up yesterday, and today,
three hundred and twenty six miles away, i put up mine.
