so it seems i'll be completing one of my new years resolutions (to travel abroad at least once this year) and am going to montreal this coming may. now, since the movie away we go i've been dreaming of this city, the second largest french-speaking city dans la monde. i've never been to our northern neighbor, but i think i'll like it, especially in may, when it's not bitterly cold.
as the girlfriend of an hockey fanatic, i couldn't hint towards canada without mentioning hockey. but i'll put my own twist on it. if i could afford to be a collector of art, i would own the littlest hockey fight by Carson Ellis (bottom left, above). it's a really delicate pencil drawing and it's tiny and perfect.
canada trivia // ever heard someone be referred to as a hoser? this term's origin comes from the tradition of a losing hockey team of a game would have to hose off the rink after defeat.
