today i would like to remind everyone to tell the ones you hold dear that you love them, to be kind when you could just as easily not, to reach out, to look inward, to create, to enjoy, to learn, to kiss, to find joy and to take care of one another. four years ago today thirty two people lost their lives and ability to do all those things because of an act of unprecedented violence. but we are strong and brave and innocent and unafraid in the face of tragedy and we will live with the knowledge that our time is fragile. there is no institution or organization that i have been more proud to be a part of, virginia tech.
